the history of
Twin city Christian homes
Twin
City Christian Homes was founded in 1970 by a group of individuals from
the Minnesota Baptist Conference who had a vision of building a
retirement home to serve older adults in a Christian setting. In 1983,
their dream was first realized with the opening of a health care center
in Eden Prairie. In the years to follow, TCCH developed and operated a
wide range of housing and health care residences for older adults.
Following is the history of the senior living communities owned and/or
managed by TCCH today.
►1984 Edendale Residence opened to provide subsidized rental housing for
older adults.
►1990 TCCH began providing management services to the municipal owners of
Blaine Courts in Blaine.
►1995 TCCH opened an independent living rental community in the
Shoreview, Scandia Shores.
►1996 TCCH began providing management services to the municipal owners of
Mill Pond Gables in Champlin.
►1997 TCCH opened an independent living rental community in Minnetonka,
WestRidge.
►2000 TCCH and the City of Blaine opened a 102-unit independent living
rental community, Cloverleaf Courts.
►2000 TCCH opened Mainstreet Village, a 130-unit independent living
rental community and a 31-unit assisted living program in Richfield.
